Sandy Leaf, a self-described “starving Realtor” from Fairfax County, had her second yard sale of the season last week, despite frigid temperatures. She dragged a fire pit into the driveway and served hot cider while she set out children’s books, clothes and housewares. The U.S. Department of Energy recently reported there are more than 65 million garages in this country. Of homes with a two-car garage, 20 percent did not park any car in the garage while 32 percent parked one vehicle.
